I move and stretch my body with my breath in a prayer for this day.
A prayer for those who are hurting, a prayer for peace, perhaps even
a little prayer for me to live this day fully.
The light of the day emerges as the wild turkeys feed on spring’s new growth,
birds busily gather to renew their nests,
a red tail swoops for it’s breakfast delight as the poor field mouse surrenders to what’s next.
A cacophony of bird song unfolds as the sun rises higher in the horizon,
Geese honk overhead as they scout for a place to rest.
Oh, the Blessings of this day as I roll up my yoga mat!
Tell me about you?

As a result of my recent work in the Turning Inward class, I was able to successfully use the tools to make a change in myself this week. I was having a very productive morning at home. When I was preparing to leave the house, I realized my heart was racing [possibly from cold medicine] and I could not slow down or focus on the next part of my day.

Instead of calling a doctor to taking more meds, I decided to sit down and check-in with myself. After checking-in, I decided I needed to do some relaxed breathing. After the exercise, my heart stopped racing, and I was able to have a peaceful and joyous visit with my grandchildren.

Thank you, Caron for teaching me how to heal myself.

While on vacation this week I stayed at a place that was a small walk from the Gulf of Mexico. In order to get to the beach I had to walk through the pool area. There was a woman sitting in the pool area on a lounge. She was wearing a baseball cap and a colorful bathing suit. I noticed metal braces with cuffs for her arms lying next to her chair . We said good morning and I continued down to the beach. Each day she was sitting in the same chair, soaking up the sun, and reading or quietly being, walking braces tucked close to her chair. One day the sun became to hot for my skin and I found a chair in the shade close to the woman at the pool. We greeted each other, spoke about the place we were staying, and the beauty of the island. "I love it here, it's my favorite place to be," she said. She told me she'd been coming to the same place for 10 years and never gets tired of it. We spoke briefly, and I went for a swim. Even in the shade it was an extremely warm day.

After a few minutes, I noticed the woman looking at me in the water. She was clearly preparing herself, and enrolling her will to begin the task of getting in the water. Braces up, cuff on her forearms, she pushed herself up off the lounge and slowly made her way to the pool. There was one step up and four steps down into the pool. The metal crutches supported her weak legs. I've never seen such determination. There was a railing by the steps into the pool. She used 1 crutch and the railing. She had a true system that worked for her. After a 10 minute struggle, she was in the water.... smiling, happy, and certainly much cooler. She looked at me and said, "I love the water. It's my favorite part. It feels good to float and move my legs. I can even walk a little bit in the pool." I saw so much joy in her eyes, and peace in the tone of her voice. Her body gently moved weightless in the water.

What do you love to do even if it's a struggle to come by?

Because of my strong beliefs in Western Medicine, I certainly had my doubts about
what I would get out of your "Turning Inward" classes. But as it turned out, I left
each class feeling better about myself (certainly less stressed out) and also left
with a craving for more your knowledge about the healing process.

And each week I also left truely looking forward to the following weeks class.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and self healing techniques with me. I plan to
continue to use these tools in my own self healing process.
